Indonesia's coffee-growing regions span across the equator from Aceh in the northwest to Papua in the east. Because of this geographic spread and equatorial climate, Indonesia produces coffee almost year-round — but each origin has a distinct harvest window that affects freshness, availability, and pricing. This calendar helps buyers plan procurement and negotiate at the right time.

| Widest lot selection (Gayo) | February–April | Post-harvest; all processing methods available |
| Lowest price (Lampung Robusta) | June–August | Peak harvest = maximum supply, lower spot prices |
| Toraja / Flores / Bali | June–August | Peak harvest window; best selection |
| Year-round supply security | Forward contract (Q4 of prior year) | Lock in before harvest begins; guaranteed allocation |
Unlike Brazil (which uses a single crop year), Indonesia's origins have overlapping harvest windows. Exporters typically reference:
Old crop Gayo (properly stored at 18–22°C, 60% RH) is acceptable for most commercial buyers up to 18 months post-harvest. Specialty buyers typically prefer fresh crop within 6–12 months of harvest date.
