Indonesia's cleanest, brightest specialty Arabica. Emerging origin from East Nusa Tenggara. Caramel, tropical fruit, gentle acidity. Increasingly sought by European & Australian specialty roasters.
Flores Arabica is grown on the island of Flores in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province — one of eastern Indonesia's most scenic and geologically active islands. The Manggarai, Ngada, and Ende districts host the main growing areas at 1,200–1,600m altitude, where volcanic soil and consistent rainfall produce a distinctive specialty Arabica.
Unlike the heavy-bodied Sumatran coffees, Flores Arabica is cleaner, brighter, and more fruit-forward — closer in character to Central American washed Arabica than to Gayo or Mandheling. This makes it particularly appealing to specialty roasters who want an Indonesian origin with a lighter, more approachable profile.
Flores coffee production is still growing — the island is an emerging specialty origin with increasing investment in quality processing infrastructure, making now an ideal time for importers to establish direct supply relationships.
